On August 15, 2019 David Strowhouer pled guilty to homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, aggravated assault by vehicle, driving under the influence, murder of the third degree, and other related offenses.
Strowhouer killed Deana Eckman while driving under the influence, something he had previously been convicted of five times, on February 16, 2019. Deana's husband, Chris Eckman, was also severely injured in the crash that killed his wife. Strowhouer faces a maximum sentence of 85 years in prison when he is sentenced on November 14, 2019.
